The next budget smartphone from Apple, the fourth generation iPhone SE, is reportedly set for 2025. New rumors and speculations suggest that it will offer far better upgrades in comparison to previous claims. It will certainly make the iPhone SE 4 great value for money should these new claims be true.

According to such rumors, the upcoming iPhone SE will get the iPhone 14's body and, more importantly, Apple Intelligence. 

Moreover, it is also claimed that it will have additional upgrades that were not present in the last iPhone SErelease in 2022, making it a worthy addition that can beef up the regular lineup. 

Apple Rumors: iPhone SE 4 to Get iPhone 14 Body, Other Upgrades

It was revealed by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman in his Power On Newsletter that 2024 will not see any massive upgrade for the entire iPhone lineup. Instead, these will take place in 2025. Apart from the reported slim version of the iPhone 17, which is being referred to as "Air," Gurman said that the iPhone SE 4 will be given the spotlight by the Cupertino-based giant. 

According to the analyst, the iPhone SE 4 will reportedly be upgraded with the iPhone 14 base model's chassis, but it will feature more improvements to its rear casing. Moreover, it will get a new OLED display with crisp outputs.

It is also expected that it will cost users a starting price of $499, which is about $70 more expensive than its usual $429 selling price point.

The iPhone SE 4 is Also Getting Apple Intelligence

The largest claim from Gurman involves the iPhone SE 4 getting Apple Intelligence as part of its features that come upon purchase. However, Gurman made no mention of what chip it will use. 

Previous rumors claimed that the iPhone SE is getting the A18 Bionic, which is similar to the iPhone 16 series. 

All About the iPhone SE 4's Reported 2025 Arrival

Many analysts and leakers have been closely following Apple's next iPhone SE release. Ming-Chi Kuo claimed in 2022, the year when the iPhone SE 3 was released, that the next model will follow no sooner than 2024. While this is its expected timeline as there is a two-year gap for the budget device, it was later speculated to be a device delayed until 2025.

It was revealed by leaks that Apple's iPhone SE's fourth-generation model  will finally leave behind the iPhone 8 design, particularly the Home Button. Leaks have claimed that it will instead feature a notch. Leaks also revealed that will have the Face ID instead of the previous Touch ID.

In addition, it has been said to feature Apple's latest chip, which is coming in 2025.

Of course, these are all speculations from analysts, insiders, and sleuths that are following news on the device closely, and these rumors will only ever be confirmed by Apple itself. That being said, the industry cannot wait for 2025 for the iPhone SE 4's release, including all its features and upgrades, such as its new body, OLED screen, midrange price, and Apple Intelligence.
