Sony PS5 Pro is Coming and Its Release Date is Closer Than You Think, Says Rumors

There are now a significant number of rumors that suggest that Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro is coming soon, and many are suggesting that the console's arrival is imminent. This latest set of rumors come after those that have claimed that a mid-cycle console is in the works, one that will be a more powerful console.

Should a PlayStation 5 Pro be released, this will be similar to PlayStation 4, which also has both Slim and Pro versions that were released on the market.

WCCFTech claimed that many developers who attended the recent Gamescom 2024 event in Cologne have been vocal about the PS5 Pro. WCCFTech revealed, according to a scoop from a developer, that PS5 Pro's specifications that can run Unreal Engine 5-based games with ease. 

It was revealed by Italian publication Multiplayer that a developer mentioned that they were given the specs of the new console and claimed that it is better than the original PlayStation 5. This report from Multiplayer corroborates what WCCFTech revealed, but the latter claimed that they believe this is not the same developer. 

The Italian publication's source also claimed that one developer shared that they delayed the release of a game because of PS5 Pro's rumored release date.

PS5 Pro Release Date: When?

There are rumors about the PS5 Pro's release date, but a more important detail may give clues as to its possible showcase. According to ComicBook Gaming, Sony's return to the 2024 Tokyo Game Show (TGS) takes place this September, and this may be the chose time to announce its PS5 Pro. 

It was later noted by WCCFTech that Sony may announce the PS5 Pro by September and release it by November, based on the PS4 Pro's 2016 timeline.

Sony's PS5 Pro Rumors

The PlayStation 5 was released as the successor of the PlayStation 4 and brough about upgrades to the console, particularly in terms of looks, performance, capabilities, and more. However, if the rumors prove to be true, there is a better version of the PlayStation 5 that's coming. 

It is believed that the PlayStation5 Pro has the capability to deliver "constant 60fps" performance that will work with optimized games for the new console. Additionally, rumors have claimed that it the console will have a larger system memory that will help accommodate bigger sized titles and ensure that the console will run as expected. 

With the public now accepting that Sony's next console release will take place in 2024, there is now strong belief that it will be the PlayStation 5 Pro. It remains to be seen if it will really be announced next month during TGS.
