LEGO Harry Potter Collection Remastered Coming Soon from WB Games
Eight years after WB Games' first release of the game compilation, it has now been announced that the LEGO Harry Potter Collection is making a comeback for modern gaming platforms. This means that gamers on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X, and Windows PC (via Steam) will be able to purchase and download the game come October 8.
This collection will feature all of the previous LEGO Harry Potter games but will include new improvements that make it compatible with current-gen platforms.
According to WB Games, it will be available for $39.99 across these gaming devices.
What to Expect From LEGO Harry Potter on Current-Gen Consoles
The "remastered and re-magicked" LEGO Harry Potter Collection for modern gaming hardware will still feature all of the "Years" WB Games released before. This will focus on all the franchise's movie releases with its LEGO game adaptation.
Features like 4K resolution at 60 FPS, haptic feedback, improved map quality, and more are coming on the LEGO Harry Potter Collection, according to WB Games.
LEGO Harry Potter: Wizarding World's Brick Experience
The first LEGO adaptation of the Harry Potter film franchise was released in 2010 due to WB Games' acquisition of the license. It brought the world of Harry Potter, specifically Years 1 to 4 to gamers. Specifically, this covers The Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire movies.
A year later, WB Games followed up the release with LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 which focused on the Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and the Deathly Hallows movies.
It was in 2016 when WB Games released the entire LEGO Harry Potter Collection to the public, making it a multiplatform release for the PS4, Xbox One, and later for the Nintendo Switch. This release from Warner Bros. was also made for mobile platforms like Android and iOS. However, it is no longer available as of press time.
The recent Back to Hogwarts Day event announced many Wizarding World experiences for the global fans of the franchise, with WB Games following up on another return of its iconic LEGO game compilation. Come this October, fans will yet again re-experience the LEGO Harry Potter Collection, but this time for current-gen gaming platforms.
