The LG G3 QHD smartphone has officially gone up for pre-order on Verizon Wireless ahead of its retail launch next week, on July 17.
Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T had all confirmed their launch plans for the LG G3 and started taking pre-orders, with Sprint grabbing a neat exclusive on the popular Gold color option. Verizon has now joined the party as well and is now allowing customers to pre-order the new LG G3, with shipping pegged for July 17.
Pre-orders have just kicked off today, July 10, and the LG G3 is available for $99 on a two-year contract with Verizon, $29.99 per month with Verizon's EDGE financial plan, or $599.99 outright, off-contract. LG G3 is one of the hottest, most powerful smartphones currently available on the market, and is expected to be in great demand on all carriers.
It's worth pointing out that Verizon is selling the higher-end LG G3 with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity, not the original version with only 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. Other than these changes, the Verizon LG G3 is expected to retain the exact same features as the model LG originally advertised.
As a reminder, the LG G3 boasts a stunning 5.5-inch display with a Quad HD (QHD) resolution of 2560 x 1440 and packs a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz. Other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with laser auto focus and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 2-megapixel front shooter, a 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat on board. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth Smart Ready, NFC, and A-GPS/Glonass.
In terms of design and build, the LG G3 is made from a mixture of metal and plastic, which makes it look and feel premium, and its casing is also scratch- and fingerprint resistant. The smartphone measures 5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 inches and has a beautiful design, but the QHD display is nonetheless its main attraction.
Verizon Wireless is offering the LG G3 in black or white color options. If you want to learn more about the smartphone's specs and features or would like to place a pre-order for the LG G3 on Big Red's network, head over to Verizon's website at this link.
