As part of its latest effort to boost sales of the Amazon Fire Phone, AT&T is now offering the 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX starting on Friday, Oct. 24.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX is available from AT&T for $49.99 when purchasing a Fire Phone, or by itself for $99.99 when agreeing to sign a two-year contract. The tablet is also available for $10 per month with zero down and no annual service contract, albeit wireless service charges will be separate.
It's worth pointing out that this is not the latest Kindle Fire HDX tablet Amazon unveiled back in September. It is last year's Kindle Fire HDX, but it is still quite a capable tablet nonetheless.
"Kindle Fire GDX 7" is the ideal tech companion if you're looking to enjoy some rest and relaxation with a movie, TV show, book, play some of your favorite games or browse the web. In addition, purchase of the Fire Phone includes one year of Prime, which allows you to access tens of thousands of movies and TV shows at no additional cost with Prime Instant Video or enjoy over a million ad-free songs and playlists with Prime Music," AT&T touts in its announcement. "You can choose from over 500,000 books from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library, as frequently as a book a month. With X-Ray, you can also look up characters or key phrases while reading a book, song lyrics while your music is playing, and movie trivia while watching on the tablet."
As a reminder, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX boasts a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, and comes with Amazon's wide ecosystem of services and digital content.
As previously mentioned, AT&T is having a special deal for the Kindle Fire HDX, offering the slate for just $49.99 when purchasing a Fire Phone as well. Considering that the Fire Phone costs $0.99 on a standard two-year service agreement, this option may be quite appealing to some.
This tablet + smartphone bundle will only be available for a limited time, however, so interested buyers may want to make their purchase while the deal is still available. According to AT&T, this special offer is valid until Nov. 20.
