The next-generation HTC One M9 is expected to make its debut soon enough and it seems it will come in the same silver, gray, and gold color options.
HTC has seen great success with its One M7 and One M8 smartphones, as each iteration packed top-notch specs for its time and boasted a premium design that received high praise. The HTC One M8 is widely seen as one of the best smartphones currently available on the market, but 2014 is now almost over and it's time for a new flagship to rock the smartphone world next year.
An even higher-end HTC One M9 is expected to make its debut in the first months of 2015 as the successor to the popular One M8, and several details have already leaked online ahead of the smartphone's official launch.
Codenamed "Hima," the HTC One M9 is expected to rock top-of-the-line specs and features all around, while also retaining the highly-acclaimed design of the HTC One family. The handset will reportedly see the light of day sometime in March, and new information has now surfaced regarding the color options that will be available.
More specifically, trusted tipster @upleaks has revealed in a new post on Twitter that the upcoming HTC One M9 will launch in three color options: silver, gray, and gold. These are the same color options the HTC One M8 comes in, so this claim doesn't bring any surprises.
The same tipster had previously revealed some details regarding the HTC One M9's specifications, claiming that the handset would sport a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display and pack a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood. The 1080p display, however, seems a bit unlikely. Most new flagship smartphones now venture into QHD territory, and it would make more sense for the HTC One M9 to come with a QHD display as well.
Other rumored specs for the next-generation flagship smartphone from HTC include 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional storage, a 16- or 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and a 2,840 mAh unit. When it comes to the front shooter, rumors so far have suggested that the HTC One M9 will sport either a 13-megapixel unit or a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front camera.
It's all in the rumor state at this point, however, so make sure to take all leaks and rumors with a grain of salt.
