The purported LG G4 has surfaced in various leaks and reports over the last month and an alleged press render of the device has now popped up online.
While HTC and Samsung took the stage at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 to unveil their latest and greatest flagship smartphones, LG decided to wait and save its upcoming G4 for a later debut.
The next-generation LG G4 is expected to break cover sometime next month, boasting impressive specs and features all around. The LG G4 is also rumored to rock a more premium build compared to its predecessor, and the LG G3 was no cheap trick.
Tipster @OnLeaks has now posted an intriguing image on Twitter, claiming to show the back of the purported LG G4. The smartphone seen here features a gray color scheme and an LG G3-like design, albeit with a beefier camera sensor.
Other than the upgraded camera, the purported LG G4 looks uncannily similar to its predecessor. The volume rocker, power/lock key, laser focus, dual-LED flash, and speaker appear to be unchanged, all located in the same place on the back of the phone.
On the other hand, it's worth pointing out that this image allegedly depicts an early render of the upcoming LG G4, which means that the final design may not be like this when the smartphone makes its official debut.
The tipster doesn't reveal any additional information regarding LG's next-generation flagship, but previous rumors and reports have tried to paint a picture of what to expect.
Based on leaks and rumors so far, the LG G4 is expected to rock a QHD display with a high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels just like its predecessor, pack a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, at least 3GB of RAM, and a 16-megapixel rear camera, among the highlights.
As previously mentioned, the LG G4 is also expected to boast a more premium design compared to its predecessor, but it remains unclear at this point just what that will entail. In terms of size, the LG G4 will reportedly measure 149.9 x 76.5 x 9.9mm.
The LG G4 is expected to make its debut sometime next month, but no specific date is available at this point. LG has offered no official information in this regards so far, so make sure to take all leaks, rumors and speculation with a grain of salt.
