HTC One M9 Plus leaks in more images before its official debut next week

The hotly-anticipated HTC One M9 Plus phablet has leaked in even more images online, ahead of its expected debut next week.

The flagship HTC One M9 has yet to make its commercial debut on all major carriers and retailers, but the company is nonetheless moving forward and preparing for another exciting launch. HTC has a "More than One" event scheduled for next week, on April 8, when it is widely expected to unveil the HTC One M9 Plus, or whatever the phablet may be called.

As always ahead of highly-anticipated events, the rumor mill is going into overdrive trying to paint a picture of what's to come. The purported HTC One M9 Plus has leaked extensively as of late and new batches of photos continue to surface online, courtesy of trusted tipster @upleaks.

The HTC One M9 Plus is not expected to be significantly larger than the flagship One M9, as it will reportedly have a 5.2-inch display, but it should sport plenty of differences. First of all, while the flagship One M9 features a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the One M9 Plus phablet is rumored to venture into QHD territory, boasting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. At the same time, the HTC One M9 flagship no longer has the dual camera setup found on the previous One M8, but the upcoming One M9 Plus may bring back the Duo Camera setup.

Leaks and reports so far have also indicated that the HTC One M9 Plus will sport a fingerprint scanner, and the newly-leaked images seem to bolster such claims. Unlike the HTC One Max, however, which had a fingerprint reader on its rear, the One M9 Plus will reportedly have the fingerprint scanner embedded into the home button on the front of the device, below the screen.

It remains to be seen just what specifications the HTC One M9 Plus will pack under the hood, but it's expected to come as a high-end device. Until the official unveiling, however, it all remains in the rumor state so it's highly recommended to take everything with a grain of salt. We'll be covering the event and keep you posted as soon as it's official, so check back soon.
