The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is now available at a neat discount, as the company is offering the 256GB version with 8GB of RAM for $150 less.
More specifically, the Surface Pro 3 model with an Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM is now available for $1,149, down from its regular price of $1,299. This version is considered one of the best and most convenient Surface Pro 3 options, although it's not the most powerful.
This price cut is part of a limited-time deal available between May 17 and May 23, which means that interested customers have just a few days to take advantage of this offer. Microsoft will also throw in a free sleeve with the Surface Pro 3 purchase until July 1, regardless of whether you take advantage of this $150 discount or not.
With the $150 discount, customers could invest their savings in a Type Cover keyboard, which costs $129.99 and allows the Surface Pro 3 tablet to serve as a laptop. Third-party keyboard covers are also available, but it may be best to purchase the one Microsoft itself designed for its slate.
Customers can also choose to purchase the Surface Pro 3 dedicated docking station, which costs $49.99 and adds a number of ports - three USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a Mini DisplayPort, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, for extra convenience.
As a reminder, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 sports a 12-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels and high-end specs all around. The model that's now on offer packs a 1.9GHz Intel Core i5 processor, HD Graphics 4400, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage capacity. Other specs and features include microSD card support, 5-megapixel cameras on both its front and rear, stereo speakers, Surface Pen, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a full-size USB 3.0 port, and mini DisplayPort. On the software side, the slate runs Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit).
As previously mentioned, this model of the Microsoft Surface Pro is available at a $150 discount only until Saturday, May 23, so interested customers might want to take advantage of this deal while it lasts.
