Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1080 And 1070 The Fastest GPU

In the world of computer technology, there has been a lot of progress from computer's hardware, physical appearance, screens, built-in technology and, most especially, software. These updates have helped the nature of the computer world ever since. It help the companies, home units, academes, even stores make the people's work, lifestyles and ways of living easier and more productive. More often than not, people have embraced the fact that nowadays, people are driven by the progress of the technology.

A good show of latest updates and progress is about Nvidia's GTX 1080 and 1070. According to an Internet post via PC World, the GeForce GTX 1080 is Nvidia's first consumer graphics cards built around the 16 nanometer manufacturing process. This features 8GB RAM of Micron's GDDR5X technology, HDMI 2.0B and display port 1.4. It is said that the performance of this graphic processing unit is twice than the fastest Nvidia's graphic processing unit. It is faster than two GTX 980s in SLI, sources say.

How much does this unit cost? According to a post via ArsTechnica, GTX 1080 will cost $599, which will be launched on May 27. The GTX 1070 will cost $379, which will be launched on June 10. Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang said in a conference held in Austin, Texas, that it is the largest chip project endeavor in the history of humanity with a budget of several billion dollars.

Another post from ArsTechnica is that Nvidia also updated its stock cooler design. It has a metallic shroud with a striking angular design that sports a single cooling fan. It also improves its power delivery, allowing for more stable over clocking.

Nvidia, indeed, is the first to reveal next-generation graphics cards. This is definitely an incredible progress. For sure, AMD has something more to offer -- sooner or later. Gamers out there are looking forward to this.
