Nintendo 2DS Drops Price To $80, Introduces Two New Games

It is a good day to live for Nintendo owners, as the company revealed the drop in price for Nintendo 2DS. And as the prices go down, so is the rise of two new games, namely, "Style Savvy: Fashion Forward" and "Disney Magical World 2."

The so-called Nintendo 2DS started way back 2013 with a price of $130. A few years later, some time in August 2015, the system got its very first price cut at $100. Now, the price for the popular portable video game console will be cut for the second time around at $80, as reported by CNet.

The 2DS can play almost all games in Nintendo 3DS library, only that they do not arrive in a 3D effect. Nonetheless, the system's design is what makes it very appealing. And unlike the previous models, the new 2DS has no hinges at all.

It should also be noted that Nintendo 2DS is specifically designed for kids, making it a lot easier for smaller hands to grasp.

Apart from the price cut, the company has also unveiled two new games, as reported by Digital Trends. "Style Savvy: Fashion Forward" and "Disney Magical World 2" are built for younger players.

"Fashion Forward," in particular, is the newest entry in its franchise and is expected to arrive come Aug. 19. It will include approximately 19,000 various items of units, accessories and clothing. Moreover, it will include the Amiibo support, which will allow players to have access on Nintendo's very own character-themed accessories and clothing.

"Disney Magical World 2," on the other hand, is bound for a release on Oct. 14 in North America. Developed by Bandai Namco, it is an animal Disney-themed adventure packed with familiar characters. The game's setting is also inspired by the Disney world, one of which is the wintry scenery in the 2013 hit film "Frozen."

Nintendo is rumored to be working on a new system called NX, which is believed to be a combination of the features from both console and mobile. The said system will set a trend come March 2017.
