'Tom Clancy's The Division' Update: Game Boasts Of 9.5m Active Players; Ubisoft To Release DLCs Set In Different Timeline, Areas

Soon after the highly anticipated game "Tom Clancy's The Division" from Ubisoft was launched in March, many were impressed, leading to well-received reviews. And indeed, the game lived up to its expectations, as the number of registered users has reached a whopping 9.5 million.

According to VideoGamer, Ubisoft recently announced the new milestone the game has reached. In fact, according to the France-based video game developer and publisher's statistics, players actively play around 3 hours in a single day.

True enough, "Tom Clancy's The Division" has surpassed many expectations. It also worth noting that the game's launching was deemed as the most successful and record-breaking in the history of new video game IP.

Although the actual sales report for the open world third-person shooter video game is yet to be unveiled, early reports suggest that it is close to becoming as one of the fastest-selling game titles from Ubisoft.

It holds true, though, that "Tom Clancy's The Division" has been swamped with several in-game bugs and glitches; hence, the number of players dropped in the past few months. Fortunately, Ubisoft was quick to respond and fixed the exploits.

GameNGuide, on the other hand, notes that the game has still a lot to offer. One is that the company is planning to release DLCs set in various timelines and areas -- a move that was based on the survey conducted.

For gamers who purchased the Season Pass, they are expected to acquire three DLCs within the scope of this year. Among these downloadable contents, "The Last Stand" is the said to be the most promising one. To be released on winter, the said DLC is set to bring a hoard of zombies into the game.

"Tom Clancy's The Division" was launched on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4 in early March of this year. After a month, it eventually received its very first major update.
