The GeForce GTX 1080 consistently outpaces the Titan X by a significant margin. Its clock speed is 42 percent faster than that of the GTX 980. The GTX 1080 has a base clock of 1607 MHZ, while the GTX 980 has 1216 MHZ. Talking about the 3D MARK FIRE STRIKE benchmarking, it shows that the GTX 1080 is the best compared to the GTX 980, the Titan X and AMD's Radeon Fury X -- outperforming each by 52 percent, 17 percent and 23 percent, respectively. According to Gamespot, the GeForce GTX 1080 uses a new video RAM built by Micron. It is called GDDR5X-the fastest GDDR memory on the market to date. It also uses Nvidia's new Pascal architecture. This means that it is the company's most efficient architecture to date. The new 16nm FinFet production process allows the card's clock to run really high. It also uses 8GB that is doubled than that of the GTX 980.
