It is no secret that fans have been waiting for "GTA 6" to be released. Now, rumor has it that Rockstar Games is looking to unleash the game along with new generation consoles. And the release date? It should be some time between 2018 and 2020.
As reported by BreatheCast, the highly anticipated "GTA 6" (or "Grand Theft Auto 6" is speculated to get an official release date between the aforementioned years. It holds true, though, that Rockstar Games has yet to shed light on the rumors circulating around the game.
However, it is interesting to note that "GTA 4" and "GTA 5" had a release window of 5 years. The fourth installment being on 2008, while the latest being on 2013. So if things will go the way as speculated (the 5 years interval so to speak), "GTA 6" is likely to arrive in 2018.
As for the rumored 2020 release date, it is also of highest possibility. "GTA 3" and "GTA 4' were released in 2001 and 2008, respectively, referring to a release interval of 7 years. Hence, 2020 can also be a viable year for "GTA 6."
The Christian Times, on the other hand, notes that there have been lots of talks about "GTA 6" being released together with new-generation consoles. That Rockstar Games is believed to roll out the sixth installment in the series along with the said consoles for marketing purposes.
It is true, though, that tech giants Microsoft and Sony are set to unveil new high-end consoles in the years to come. But if this rumor is true, 2020 is more likely the "GTA 6" release date.
Since the release of "GTA 5" in 2013, fans have been clamoring for a follow-up. Unfortunately, Rockstar Games has remained mum about "GTA 6" and its current development. But while these rumors are certainly interesting, they are still to be taken as such.
