Digital gaming is no starter in the industry, as it has since been known to have a huge market. And sure enough, "Dark Souls 3" courtesy of FromSoftware dominated in the PC and consoles category. Talking about the titular title, the upcoming DLCs have become clearer as the days go by.
According to VentureBeat, "Dark Souls 3" made some huge waves in the digital gaming market, owning the PC and consoles category. The action role-playing video game from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco has reportedly acquired a whopping $45 million during its first month of release.
"Dark Souls 3" broke records after records, earning the title as the best installment in the franchise so far. It is said to have outperformed the previous games (even when combined) in the "Dark Souls" series.
It should be noted that the first and second "Dark Souls" games were exploited with various in-game issues and glitches. However, it was only in "Dark Souls 3" that FromSoftware addressed the said exploitations, hence the success.
Meanwhile, "Dark Souls 3" fans will surely be surprised with the latest updates for the game. According to Neurogadget, it is not three, but only two DLC expansions are expected to arrive to the popular video game.
Many believe that "Dark Souls 3" will be getting a total of three downloadable contents, with one to be released this fall. Such expectation somehow rooted from the fact that "Dark Souls 3" receive three DLCs, namely, "Crown of the Sunken King," "Crown of the Old Iron King" and "Crown of the Ivory King." Nonetheless, as of this writing, little has been known about the upcoming expansions.
"Dark Souls 3" fans are said to have hoped for the developers to include the forthcoming DLCs with areas previously seen from the two games. And indeed, such could be a great wrap-up to the ever-popular series, with "Dark Souls 3" being the conclusion of the franchise's saga.
Furthermore, since the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC will arrive some time in fall, there is a high possibility that it will debut at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this June.
