The Mercedes E-Class Estate earned another remarkable sales record of 818,175 between January to May. With this, Mercedes converted the E-Class Estate Car (Wagon in America) into the most intelligent new ride offered today.
According to Yahoo News Singapore, the new E-Class Estate model is somewhat identical to Mercedes' own E-Class sedan in front. The E-Class Estate though combines practicality and style with an increased luggage space, thanks to its folding rear seat.
To provide families with greater comfort, the 2016 Mercedes E-Class Estate offers a third row seat as an option. For intelligence, the best next-gen safety system integrated in the flagship S-Class is now made standard in the new E-Class Estate.
The new E-Class estate also features standard self-leveling air suspension, remote tailgate release and an optional rear-seat entertainment system with iPad integration.
Mercedes is also proud to present the self-parking feature of the E-Class Estate, which enthusiasts are sure to like. This feature also allows the E-Class ride to stay in lane, maintain a distance safely from a car in front even at 130mph of highway speeds and autonomously apply brakes if someone or something crosses its path at low speeds.
According to Ola Källenius, Mercedes-Benz head for Cars Marketing and Sales, "The new Estate is as dynamic as the Mercedes-Benz brand and as spacious as our customers expect." Källenius also added, "And what is more, the Estate obviously has all the innovations of the new E Class -- the most intelligent executive saloon in the world."
In related news, Top Gear said the new Mercedes E-Class Estate is a rather handsome ride that can potentially render Mercedes' crossover and SUV models obsolete. Top Gear also revealed that the E-Class acquires a fabulous cabin that resembles the S-Class combined with exciting features like anti-crash, self-driving and lots of entertainment to safety gadgets.
The 2016 E-Class Estate from Mercedes will be offered with three diesel powertrain choices as well as three gas engine selections. Also available is the Mercedes AMG version which fits a 3L V-6 biturbo engine to the 43 4Matic model that provides 400 horsepower.
