Watch As 'Dark Souls' Fan Recreates Undead Asylum From Classic Game In LittleBigPlanet 3

A hardcore "Dark Souls" fan and a well-known YouTuber named Katapultoffel gave the opening level of the game a brand new twist. FromSoftware's classic action-RPG video game was recreated in the so-called LittleBigPlanet 3. And yes, the result is just completely astonishing.

According to Eurogamer, the said "Dark Souls" fan used the impressive game-making tools from LittleBigPlanet 3 so as to give the game a new bump. Katapultoffel recreated the title's Undead Asylum in PlayStation using it. Everything from the in-game cutscenes all the way through the battle against the Asylum demon boss.

The video uploaded by the "Dark Souls" player also showcases an excellent take of the Great Grey Wolf Theme. The newly recreated opening cinematic of the game incredibly offers a unique narration, along with some interesting texts. In fact, there is a tutorial message (in color orange) explaining the various controls, something that is similar to the actual source material.

Apart from that, the "Dark Souls" YouTuber was able to come up with a distinctive perspective of the game's combat style. It now has a stamina meter, evasive roll, blocking maneuver and varied attacks, among others. Heck, even the estus flasks is magnificently introduced.

Polygon, on the other hand, notes that the whole gist of the "Dark Souls" Undead Asylum is perfectly intact. And this despite taking a few shortcuts every now and then. Finishing the whole level took Katapultoffel at least a month to recreate everything.

Furthermore, the "Dark Souls" fan revealed everything he did with the recreation via Reddit. It is also where he mentioned about the timeline it took to generate it all. For him, the level is what he calls a "love letter" to the very first installment in the franchise.
