'Dark Souls 3' First DLC Update: What We Know So Far

When FromSoftware revealed "Dark Souls 3" to be the last in the franchise, fans of the titular video game have been so eager to grasp its upcoming DLCs. Although the studio has given some tiny bits of information regarding its first content, everything up to now is still vague. So far, here is everything we know about the title's forthcoming expansion.

First "Dark Souls 3" DLC Release Date

According to Game & Guide, the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC is bound to arrive sometime this year's fall. Others believe that it could likely be introduce in September, one way or another. Nevertheless, the final say should be expected from the studio itself.

"Dark Souls 3" Features and Gameplay

It was FromSoftware's very own President Hidetaka Miyazaki who revealed the possible features of the first "Dark Souls 3" DLC. He hinted about the pack bringing new elements to the game - from enemies to gears to areas to story. In fact, Miyazaki claimed how these features will bring a whole new excitement for the fans to enjoy.

The Future Of "Dark Souls 3"

Lots of reports have already pointed out that the company is keen to supporting "Dark Souls 3" with two DLCs only. After which, the main focus is to develop a new IP, perhaps completely different from the "Dark Souls" franchise as a whole. This also means that all rumors about "Dark Souls 3" getting another sequel and/or follow-ups are false. Nonetheless, it is the studio's main priority to unleash two downloadable contents.

Second "Dark Souls 3" DLC Release Date

As of this writing, nothing much is learned about the second "Dark Souls 3" DLC. It is believed, however, to be unveiled sometime in early 2017. Nonetheless, Miyazaki referred the game's upcoming contents as somewhat akin to "Bloodborne" and "Demon's Souls" - both of which are also products of the company's creativity.

"Dark Souls 3" has become a major turning point for FromSoftware. Well, obviously, it should be. The company was able to ship over millions of copies worldwide.
