Samsung released its Galaxy Note 7 earlier this month, to the delight of many tech enthusiasts. And while the unit itself is not yet available for purchase, it is already proving to be one of the year's best handsets. Still, there is the iPhone 7 to look forward to, despite its relatively lackluster leaks.
As Design & Trend reports, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 comes with with a dual-edged 5.7 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen. The display that is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 has a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen. The display resolution will be slightly lower at 1080 x 1920 pixels, protected by an ion-strengthened glass.
The Galaxy Note 7 runs smoothly on 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. Like with most Samsung devices, the Note 7's storage capabilities can be expanded via a microSD card, up to 256 GB. Meanwhile, Apple's upcoming flagship is expected to run on 2 GB of RAM with internal storage options of 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB.
One thing that the iPhone 7 is expected to have in common with the Galaxy Note 7, however, is the camera. Both devices are expected to sport the same 12-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front cameras. Another is the fingerprint scanner, which has been a staple for both companies. However, this time around, Samsung also offers the option to go with an iris scanner.
If there is one thing that the iPhone 7 will have above the Galaxy Note 7, it is the innovation of a more wireless experience. As Inquisitr notes, the upcoming handheld from Apple has long been rumored to throw away the standard 3.5 mm audio jack. If executed properly, Apple could emerge a winner, despite the power of the Galaxy Note 7.
