Fallout 4 Update: PS4 Mods Beta Test Not Happening?

Nope, as of this writing, Fallout 4 PS4 mods are still a mystery. Bethesda has yet to find a resolution to this issue, though Sony is reportedly evaluating it. While the studio still has every reason to release it to the said console, it cannot deny the fact that fans are growing tired each day. Adding to the frustration, the company is believed to be uncertain if the beta test should be released prior to the mods' launching.

Earlier this month, Fallout 4 fans were informed that Bethesda is still currently working with Sony to resolve the issue about the game's PS4 mods, and that they cannot just give out information and/or assurance until everything gets fixed. The good thing, however, is that the problem is being evaluated by the tech giant.

Fallout 4 PS4 mods were supposed to be released back in June this year. With the ongoing delay, the developers had no choice but to re-evaluate their strategies. And with such a scenario, it is almost possible that the console's beta test for the said mods and/or contents will not happen, as noted by Inquisitr.

A Fallout 4 fan asked (via Twitter) Bethesda's very own Vice President Pete Hines if a beta test will happen, if and only if the mods get released. Unfortunately, Hines himself is unsure if it is going to happen at all. That, in one way or another, it "would depend on what comes out of the evaluation process."

Sure, Hines did not entirely confirm that Fallout 4 PS4 mods beta test is not going to be a reality; however, chances are, it might not. After all, the delays are enough to have kept the users of the console from enjoying the feature. Hence it would be better if the studio decides to release the full version instead. But of course, at the end of the day, it is up to the team to decide.

There are also reports suggesting that the last Fallout 4 DLC called Nuka World might arrive first before the aforementioned mods. For sure, the studio does not want to interfere with the contents development, something that can result in a delay. Hence their focus is on it. And obviously, if a delay happens, it is very likely for the whole community to burst in anger and frustration. Well, delays are delays, and these are things that fans do not want to experience.

What can you say about the delay of Fallout 4 PS4 mods? Why do you think it has taken Bethesda and Sony a good amount of time fixing it? Should the studio initiate a beta test first, or perhaps releasing the full version is a much better option? Be sure to let us know in the comments section below!
