IFA Berlin exhibitions were stopped during World War II and later reinstated again in the year 1950. At present times, each year in September the 1.6-million-square-foot Messe Berlin expo hall attracts more than 245,000 visitors, 1,600 exhibitors and a huge press coverage.

The IFA 2016 show will begin officially on September 2, but top manufacturer brands like LG, Samsung, Sony, Lenovo, Huawei and others will aggressively compete for the limelight by hosting pop-up conferences and spin-off events off the show floor. Before the show officially opens we could see major announcement, as many press conferences will take place on August 31 and September 1.

Wearables At IFA 2016

Besides than just tablets and mobile phones, IFA is also becoming a wearables show. Samsung already made a hint that it will focus its first event in Berlin on the Gear S3.
