PlayStation Plus Free Games: September 2016 Lineup Excites Members with 'Journey', 'Lords of the Fallen'

PlayStation Plus members, rejoice! Playstation is glad to reveal these free games for September, 2016. You can choose to play a calming and life inspiring journey across a forgotten civilization or hack and slash your way through those demonic hordes. Let's go!

Journey

This adventure never seizes to amaze me, created with much love by That Game Company. Journey spearheads this month's lineup that comes free if you are subscribed to PlayStation Plus in September as announced by Sony.

A cross-buy title, Journey can be downloaded on both your PlayStation 3 right now and Playstation 4 by next month, what a way to play alternately from your bedroom and living room.

This game has had me enlightened during the PS3 days and I would love to take another round of Journey when it hits my PS4.

Lords of the Fallen

One of the hard-hitting 'souls type' game, Lords of the Fallen, also known as an action RPG, will add to the collection of difficult games released by Playstation Plus. The game was developed by CI Games and Deck13. I personally relate this game to Dark Souls, it requires a lot of patience and guts to face those demons and die multiple times.

2 Other PS3 games

As added bonus, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands and Datura, developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Team Plastic respectivly, are added to the list of free games for September.

PS Vita

Vita owners, don't worry, you get Bedland by Frogmind, which is also cross-free on the PS3 and PS4. Also free for the Vita is Amnesia: Memories by Idea Factory.

The 6 games will be in your hands by Sept.6, August games will be back to regular pricing by then.

Game lineup summarized:

  • Lords of the Fallen - PS4
  • Journey - PS4, PS3
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - PS3
  • Datura - PS3
  • Badland - PS4, PS3, Vita
  • Amnesia: Memories - Vita
