"Mortal Kombat" second DLC the "Kombat Pack 2" and "Mortal Kombat XL" are set to officially arrive on the PC platform this Oct.4 as announced by Warner Bros. The news was confirmed by the game's co-creator Ed Boon through a post on his Twitter account.
Warner Bros. reportedly handed the technical updates to Qloc instead of their usual partners High Voltage or NetherRealm Studios. Despite this, fans are still happy that they can now enjoy the most-anticipated "Mortal Kombat X" second DLC on PC.
Moreover, "Mortal Kombat XL" is expected to arrive with all of the contents packed in the base game and "Kombat Pack 1." It is also suggested to feature some contents from "Kombat Pack 2" although it was not previously set for a PC platform along with some new game skins.
"Mortal Kombat XL" is also set to bring the four characters from "Kombat Pack 1." This includes Leatherface from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and Xenomorph from "Alien."
"Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 2," on the other hand, is also expected to bring in four more characters, including Jason Voorhees and Predator. The earlier version of the DLC is suggested to equip additional skins as well.
Both "Mortal Kombat X" second DLC and "Mortal Kombat XL" versions are suggested to bring in a patch that is speculated to offer players balance tweaks and an improved online gameplay. The Premium Edition of "Mortal Kombat X" base game with the "Kombat Pack 1" currently sells at $40. The game developer has not announced the price point for "Mortal Kombat XL" for PC version yet, but its Xbox One and PS4 versions are currently available at $60.
"Mortal Kombat X" popularity is suggested to boost after the release of "Kombat Pack 2" and "Mortal Kombat XL." Previously, it was presumed that Warner Bros. had no interest in creating a PC version game of the PC. However, the game developer just confirmed the upcoming release through a brief preview offering of the game on Steam. Watch "Mortal Kombat X" gameplay here.
