Diablo fans are excited over the upcoming BlizzCon events on November 4 and 5. Various rumors point to Blizzard Entertainment announcing something big for the Diablo game franchise.
No Diablo Announcement at GamesCom
Diablo fans were disappointed when Blizzard did not make announcements about the game during the Gamescom event last month. Many Diablo fans and players are hopeful that some positive news will come out in the upcoming BlizzCon event. However, YouTube presenter, Rhykker pointed out that Blizzard Entertainment never said or hinted of announcing anything new for Diablo.
Blizzcon Has Something For Diablo Fans
A Diablo fan twitted the Diablo Official Twitter page on August 19. He said that he hope Blizzard will announce something big for Diablo. Surprisingly, Diablo tweeted a reply saying, "BlizzCon will be really cool this year."
This tweet is seen by many Diablo fans, a Blizzard reassurance that it's preparing to launch some kind of Diablo game at BlizzCon.
Rumored BlizzCon 2016 New Diablo Game Announcement
One rumor suggests that Blizzard might make an enhanced edition of its old games such as Diablo II and the original StarCraft. Basically, the old games will be refined and updated so that it can be played in today's PC.
Some fans though are hoping though that Blizzard will remake Diablo II instead. This means that the old game will be developed using latest 3D game engines. Some have voiced their doubts about this also. Others believed that Blizzard will release some sort of Diablo prequel, sequel reboot or even a Diablo III expansion. There have also been rumors that an upcoming Diablo IV will be announced at BlizzCon although many have discounted this.
There is also a speculation that Blizzard may release a mobile version of Diablo. This is a possibility considering the success of mobile games such as Clash of Clans and Pokemon Go. Still, Blizzard has hinted that there will be something new for the Diablo game franchise. Fans would have to wait for BlizzCon to find out.
