'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Updates: New Season To Be Released Earlier Due To Manga Series' High Ranking?

The "Tokyo Ghoul" manga series has recently been getting positive reviews and even got into the top 10 out of the top 20 Japanese manga series being purchased to date. This has then led the creators of the anime series to allegedly be pressured to air season three of "Tokyo Ghoul" within this year.

Top Ranking "Tokyo Ghoul" Manga Series Puts Pressure On Anime Version

It has been previously reported that the eighth volume of "Tokyo Ghoul" by Sui Ishida has ranked number seven in the Nielsen BookScan's Top 20 list of manga series for the month of August. This was just among the many other past volumes of the manga series that made it to the list.

The fans of both the manga and the anime series has then led to the speculations that the creators of the "Tokyo Ghoul" is pressured to air their third season within this year, given the fact that the manga has been very well-received by the audience Much more is expected from the anime series after then.

"Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 Material Not Yet Finished; Could They Make It To Late 2017 Airdate?

The anime series has wrapped up their second season way back in March 2015 and it has been almost a year and a half to date that the fans have been waiting for its return on television. There have been speculations that the material for the third is just not finished yet, thus they can't announce when it could possibly be released.

Many are allegedly disappointed and dismayed at the very long wait for the upcoming season three of "Tokyo Ghoul," but has not hindered the fans from coming up with predictions on what is in store for the next season.

There have been reports saying that the third season will be featuring a darker plot, especially with Ken Kaneki allegedly getting a new identity after his battle with Arim. Many assume that he will definitely win the fight but the question remains as to why he needs to change his identity. To find the answers out, the fans of the series will have to wait for the official announcement, whether or not it is due to be released late this year.
