Tango: Microsoft Reveals Update For Windows Phone

Microsoft has posted its latest Windows Phone Tango update on its mobile updates history page. The update comes with build number 8773.98 and upgrades the messaging app, SIM card contacts and brings some other minor tweaks and amendments.

The software giant hasn't revealed any specific date of releasing the update for Windows Phone handsets and carrier-branded devices but the update AKA Commercial Release 3 is already present in the European version of the Nokia and Lumia 900. The official Windows Phone update website, however, reveals that "This update is not available in all markets or for all phones."

Earlier Microsoft promised it would "start the process of working with mobile operators to bring an update to current customers" once the company launches its range of Windows Phone Tango phones.

According to the company, Windows Phone Tango will minimize the hardware requirements for the Windows Phones thereby increasing the number of low cost handsets that are designed for developing markets. Meanwhile, the Microsoft Windows update is available on Nokia Lumia 610 which makes good use of minimal hardware requirements. But, the latest update in Lumia 900, which includes MMS improvements and a new GPS location icon is a fairly minor one, believe experts.
