Pokemon GO Plus: 4 Things You Need To Know

Pokemon GO Plus was supposed to be made available back in July, but was moved to September. Finally, it now has a specific release date, particularly next week. It should be noted, however, that it should arrive on the aforesaid timeline only if pre-ordered. Without further ado, here are 4 things you need to know about it.

How Pokemon GO Plus Works

In its most organic form, Pokemon GO Plus is a wearable device. It can be worn as something like a watch, but owners can also choose to have it clipped on their bags and/or clothing. Players will be notified of any nearby PokeStops. However, in order for the actual items to be acquired from the inventory, they need to bring out their mobile phones. Its main goal is to help trainers have another means for catching Pokemon -- be it rare or not.

How Pokemon GO Plus Should Be Utilized

Pokemon GO Plus, for it to work, should be connected to players' respective phones via Bluetooth. That way, when a Pokemon tends to spawn close to them, they will be alerted. From there, they can simply push the button so as to throw a Pokeball. Once successful, the device will eventually vibrate.

What Pokemon GO Plus Doesn't Offer

For players hoping to catch new Pokemon while walking, they better not hope so with Pokemon GO Plus. Why? That's because it only works with creatures that have already been caught. Nevertheless, it can very useful in terms of stocking up items like candies, most especially if players opt to do mass evolves. So, in a sense, it's not a tool designed to fill a player's Pokedex.

How To Get Pokemon GO Plus

Pokemon GO Plus is slated to arrive to the market come September 16. It can be purchased for $35, but for pre-orders, it's currently unavailable in most if not all retail stores. The ones sold at Amazon and GameStop, among others, have sold out already. It remains a mystery if more stock of it will be made available on or after its launching. As of this writing, Niantic has yet to release an official statement.
