Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – New List of Adjustments and Improvements Revealed

“Call of Duty” fans have some major good news heading their way. According to Treyarch’s lead PC developer, Cesar Stastny, the team’s upcoming title “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” will feature adaptable FOV (Field of View) and lean in Multiplayer.

As expected, these are some major features of the upcoming game and will be exclusive to the PC version. But few fans may also want adjustable FOV and in the SP (Singleplayer) mode of “Black Ops 2,” but that might not happen.

As per Stastny, an adjustable FOV breaks a lot of things in SP mode. Stastny, most obviously, is referring to all those scripted events that will plague “Call of Duty” yet again. However, a simple FOV change, according to a DSOGaming report, should not break things (already proved in “The Darkness II”). Treyarch is still evaluating and a few may hope that they’ll find a way to enable the FOV slider in SP mode.

Stastny also revealed that “Black Ops 2” will support both DX10 and DX11. And even though he didn’t share any minimum specs for it, he claimed that the game is running currently without problems on 8800′s and 3870′s.

Performance has always been one of the top priorities for Treyarch after what happened with the first “Black Ops.” In reality, the engine for “Black Ops 2” has ‘significant performance improvement for PC‘, even for low-mid end machines.

Lastly, the game’s PC version will get some extra graphics options. Stastny, however, did not reveal whether there will be higher resolution textures or not. Additionally, Treyarch is also focusing on making the stock game right now and Stastny did not comment on the inclusion of mod tools. The mod tools were available with the PC version of the first “Black Ops.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is slated for a November 13 arrival on current generation consoles and PC.
