iPad Air 3 Rumor Round-Up: What Could Be True vs What Is Straight-Up Gossip

Apple finally unveiled the much awaited iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus during the company's annual event last September 7. Even the Apple Watch Series 2 was announced then. However, the iPad Air 3 was noticeably missing from the roster. The onslaught of reports on the product, however, are just proof of how the public is still anticipating the same.

iPad Air 3: What's Making The Rounds

According to Vine Report, the iPad Air 3 is unlikely to be unveiled to the public this year. Correspondingly, the device is estimated to at least arrive before mid 2017. Despite the delay, there are minimal changes that are expected to come with it.

For example, the iPad Air 3 is expected to come with a minimum of 64GB of internal memory and will be powered by the newer A10 processor. Furthermore, it will come straight out of the box with iOS 10.

Christian Today adds that the iPad Air 3 may come with an AMOLED display with a 2048x1538 resolution. It is also estimated to come with a four-speaker audio system and full Apple support.

iPad Air 3: What Could Be True

The tablet's 2017 release date is highly likely, as Apple may hold on on further releases for the year. Moreover, tablets have not been doing so well in the market, particularly because of the birth of hybrid tablets. Therefore, it is only logical that the Cupertino-based company will space out the time between its product releases.

And because the A10 processor, minimum 64GB of internal memory and the preinstalled iOS 10 are already present with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, these are highly likely to come in the iPad Air 3 as well.

However, what is unsure is the AMOLED display, screen size options and the thickness of the iPad Air 3. Furthermore, if it will come with support for the Apple Pencil, the accessory will not come free with the purchase. Rather, it will rather be an optional and additional buy.
