Red Dead Redemption 2 Update: 2017 Release Date Revealed? Sequel To Sport Different Name

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been in the rumor mill for quite some time already, as fans continue to speculate its possible existence. Now, there are reports stating that the upcoming title is on its way to becoming a reality next year. Add to that, it'll introduce a new name.

According to Game & Guide, there's a possibility that Red Dead Redemption 2 could arrive sometime in 2017. This if the talks about the title being released alongside Microsoft's upcoming Project Scorpio and Sony's much awaited PlayStation 4 Pro. The latter, in particular, has already been confirmed for a November release this year.

With Red Dead Redemption 2 being released next year, Microsoft's new system is likely to help it in the market. This is most especially with the fact that it'll be needing a new group of audience. In an interview with Engadget, the tech giant's very own Aaron Greenberg (Games Marketing Head) iterated that the arrival of Project Scorpio will heavily impact the future of gaming consoles as a whole.

Another interesting thing to look forward to is the likeliness of Red Dead Redemption 2 sporting a brand new name. Rockstar is believed to pursue a road of changing the sequel's title, one that doesn't have the word "Redemption" on it, as reported by MNR Daily. So, if this is the case, then it's going to be named as Red Dead 3.

Meanwhile, as previously reported here at iTech Post, Red Dead Redemption 2 is also rumored to introduce a unique title. It's called Legends of the West. And same with the aforementioned possibilities, it's nothing close to reality but simply a speculation.

Sure enough, there have been much talks about Red Dead Redemption 2. But still, at the end of the day, Rockstar has the final say. And perhaps, from there, fans will get to have a concrete idea of what the title is really about.
