iPhone 7 vs iPhone 7 Plus Pros And Cons: Why Choose One Over The Other

When Apple announced the new iPhones for 2016, excitement overflowed within the iPhone community. Also, it kept people contemplating their next Apple purchase. Fans were not only contemplating on whether to ditch their iPhone 6S/6SPlus, they also have to figure out which among the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is the better model. Aside from cost, there are quite a few noticeable differences between the two. Here's why you should choose one over the other:

Why Go For The iPhone 7 Plus Over The iPhone 7?

If you're willing to pay a higher price for a bigger phone with better display, then the iPhone 7 Plus is your best bet. Its 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution is far better than the iPhone 7's 750 x 1334 pixels resolution. The iPhone 7's display is simply out of place when compared to other 2016 released flagship phones.

Furthermore, the iPhone 7 Plus has a higher RAM of 3 GB. 3 GB RAM is the standard RAM size of last year's flagship, making the iPhone 7's RAM a little too outdated. It's a slight advantage for the 7 Plus but it doesn't exactly make a big difference in performance as Apple is known for creating fast-performing devices despite inferiority when it comes to specs on paper.

Furthermore, the iPhone 7 Plus is the one sporting the dual camera system that Apple is very proud to announce during its launch event. The iPhone 7 has the same 12 MP sensor but it isn't using a dual camera system, making it just a tad inferior to the 7 Plus, at least for photography enthusiasts. Lastly, the iPhone 7 Plus carries a bigger battery and it actually has longer battery life.

Why Go For The iPhone 7 Over The iPhone 7 Plus?

Well, to start off, the iPhone 7 is cheaper. As per Apple's website, there is a clear $120 difference between the two iPhones. It's practically a choice between a $769 and a $649 iPhone. The iPhone 7 Plus actually beats the iPhone 7 in multiple aspects, but it is easily explained by the price difference. However, there are still reasons why one should go for the iPhone 7 instead of the 7 Plus regardless of the price.

First, the iPhone 7 Plus can be too big for some people. According to Forbes, the iPhone 7 Plus is too big for a 5.5-inch screened phone. Second, the iPhone 7 has all the important features in it too. Sure the 7 Plus has all the extras, which people also pay extra for, but the iPhone 7 also sports everything important. It's got a waterproof build, 3D Touch, Apple Pay, fingerprint scanner, Siri, and all other native Apple features. Buying an iPhone 7 won't exactly mean that users will miss a lot of important things.

In the end, it's all about decisions. You need to determine which iPhone features you can do without and which ones are simply important for your day to day life.
