PlayStation Plus joins the Halloween spirit by giving its subscribers an awesome October. If you are a regular PS Plus subscriber then you must already know that free games are given away each month. Some months have good games; some just make you say 'meh'. Hopefully you haven't bought the games below so won't be screaming your head off.
It is also important to note that you will need an active PS Plus subscription to download these games, and later on, you'd still need the said subscription to be active in order to play.
What's for October?
PlayStation Plus reveals Resident Evil as the first freebie feature, most probably to commemorate halloween. The game will send you back in time, back to the source of the series' lore. The remastered HD version of the game is the perfect way to reminisce the good old PlayStation (PSOne) days. You will meet again good old friends such as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. For first timers, no need to be shy as this is your chance to trace back the roots of the already blooming storyline of Resident Evil. What better place to spend Halloween month than Raccoon City. Check out the trailer below.
Another awesome freebie is Transformers: Devastation. Needless to say, this really brings you back to the 80s as the robots in disguise are in their generation 1 forms. You will meet Optimus Prime as a semi and Bumblebee patterned after the classic Volkswagen beetle. You can choose between 5 Autobots to stop the ever evil Megatron and his minions of Decepticons, Incepticons, and his favorite assistant: Starscream. Gameplay trailer below.
