Fans of the new NBC drama series "This Is Us" are in for a great treat as the series has been officially picked up for an entire season just a week into its premiere date.

The most-watched trailer a few months before its airdate, "This Is Us" has just recently been picked up for an entire season, thus the fans need not to fear now that the show might be cancelled. According to the creator Dan Foggleman, they have initially intended for the storyline to run in 18 episodes and now they are more than happy to be able to fulfil what they had initially mapped out for the series.
They are also humbled by how the series was picked up for an entire season so early on in the show, just a week within its premiere. It comes as no surprise however, since the show has been getting an average of 9.5 million viewers each night and they have just aired two episodes as of now.
"This Is Us" is a story about families, personal struggles, heartache, parenting and more. It has been an extremely emotional ride for the past two episodes and the twists are just undeniable. The series runs in a variety of flashbacks to the day the babies were born, to when they were kids, and down to the present time. Each episode just brings a lot more shocking revelations as it progresses which gets the audience definitely hooked on the series.
Milo Ventimiglia Talks About Co-Stars, Mandy Moore And Sterling K. Brown
Actor Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Jack in the series also has nothing but good things to say about his co-stars, especially his on-screen wife Mandy Moore. In an interview held with the actor, he and Mandy have such great chemistry that it shows everytime they play as Jack and Rebecca.
His adopted son in the series, Randall played by actor Sterling K. Brown is also one of his most praised actor on the series. Ventimiglia even admitted to crying when he found out that Brown won an Emmy, calling him his son even in real life.
"This Is Us" is now currently about to air its third episode, after the cliffhanger during the second episode where in the present time, Rebecca (Mandy Moore) is married to Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) bestfriend.
