'Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie' Releases First English-Dubbed Trailer; One-Day Screening To Hit US Theaters On October 15

"Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie" has recently released its first English-dubbed trailer for the one-day screening of the film in the U.S.

Eleven Arts began streaming the said trailer on Thursday in preparation for its internatonal screening. This is the first English-dubbed "Yo-Kai Watch" anime film adaptation of the franchise. "Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie" will bring back the voice cast from the TV anime version in Disney XD as they reprised their roles as Nate, Jibanyan, Whisper and more. The film will also introduce two new characters and an all-new-Yo-Kai named Hovernyan, a floating blue cat who is Nathaniel's heroic companion.

Fans who will be able to catch the one-day screening of "Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie" will receive limited-edition Hovernyan Yo-motion medal, which is compatible with the "Yo-Kai Watch Model Zero" toy and unlocks content in the "Yo-Kai Watch Land" as well as the "Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble" apps. It also works with the "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits" and "Yo-Kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls" Nintendo 3DS games.

The film initially premiered in Japan in December 2014, under the title "Yōkai Watch: Tanjō no Himitsu da Nyan!" It was the top-grossing film in Japan in 2015 with 7.8 billion yen or $65 million. It also ranked first in the Japanese box office in its opening weekend by selling 1,484,916 tickets for 1,628,893,000 yen or $13.53 million.

"Yo-Kai Watch" also made its debut in the U.S. TV scene in 2015 on Disney XD and launched a series of games for Nintendo 3DS, a Hasbro toy line and apps available for iOS and Android systems.

With its impressive record, "Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie" is expected to be a huge hit as well. Although closely similar to the phenomenal "Pokémon," fans can still see its own charm and different aspects.

"Yo-Kai Watch: The Movie" will screen in selected theatres in the U.S. on October 15 only. For now, check out the trailer below.
