Harry Potter Is Flying Back To Theaters: Special IMAX Run

Harry Potter is headed back to Imax.

We, Muggles are so blessed. After the anticipation of the Warner Bros. Movie Fantastic Beast and Where to Find them, now Starting October 13, all of the eight Harry Potter movies will be playing in IMAX theaters across the country.

The movies have been digitally remastered and will be shown in IMAX 2D. The Cast Members will come at choose screening in Los Angeles and London.

"'Harry Potter' is one of the most beloved film franchises of all time and is incredibly important to the history of Imax. Therefore, being able to offer each installment - especially the initial two for the very first time in Imax - makes this a truly magical event for fans," said Greg Foster, CEO of Imax Entertainment and senior executive vice president of Imax Corp.

The Harry Potter Movies will be shown in order. On Monday afternoon, the movie ticket site Fandango said that the movies would be shown in the Portland area at Bridgeport Village in Tigard, Lloyd Center in Portland, and at Cascade Stadium in Vancouver

To date, the last six Harry Potter films (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Parts 1 & 2) have collectively grossed approximately $216 million in IMAX theaters worldwide, according to Warner Bros. estimates.

Four separate admission packages are available for purchase: single ticket; day access (admittance to three or more shows in a single day); four-show access (admittance to four shows any time, any day); and festival access (unlimited admittance throughout the event).
