The 2016 winter major will be headed to Boston and the Wang Theatre in early December, with $3 million once again on the line. PGL, who produced the Manila Major in June, will once again be producing the show from Boston.
After a two-day group stage from Dec. 3 to 4. The major event will take place from Dec. 7 to 10. The main event will be single elimination bracket. Best record in the group against worst record in the group

Comprise The International, Boston Major will be the 3rd Dota 2 occurence of the year, the first two which took place in Shanghai and Manila, Philippines. The Boston major kicks off a new cycle of happenings, which will also feature another major in the Spring and The International 7 in Aug. 2017.
As ever anyone can qualify for the event, but first they will have to win one of the open qualifiers, which will take place between October 23rd and 26th. Then they will have to get through the regional qualifier, which will take place between October 27th and 30th.
