Microsoft Surface Desktop, Keyboard, Mouse To Launch In Late October

Microsoft's all-in-one (AIO) Surface desktop's rumored launch in October is getting more likely to be true as the tech giant has recently announced an event at this month's end. Coming alongside the PC are the new Surface keyboard and mouse.

Microsoft has pinned down Oct. 26 as the date for their Windows 10 event. It is currently unknown what it could hold, but rumors suggest that a Surface AIO desktop, two Surface branded keyboards and a Surface mouse might be unveiled.

Microsoft Surface Keyboard Leaked

A few days ago, a photo of Microsoft's alleged Surface Bluetooth Keyboard leaked to the internet. Shortly after, it made its way to the FCC, confirming the new look of the Surface keyboard, which is expected to be called the Surface Ergonomic Keyboard.

It is, however, not the only keyboard that Microsoft reportedly has in tow. There should also be another one along with the Surface Mouse, which is said to be a rebranded Designer Mouse. All of these devices are expected to be launched simultaneously with the Surface Desktop this October.

Microsoft Event To Be Surface-Less?

There are some claims that Microsoft is set to focus on software, specifically on Windows 10, at their upcoming October event. This means that no Surface-branded devices might make an appearance. The invite specifically states, "Please join us to see what's next for Windows 10."

According to ArsTechnica, their sources have claimed that the tech giant is putting emphasis on the operating system (OS) and its next evolutions. There might be a few other announcements for their other hardware, but it is not expected to be anything major like their Surface devices.

Even so, the report noted that there is still a possibility for the Surface AIO Desktop to be unveiled at the said event. More news can be expected as Oct. 26 nears.
