Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Beta Tutorial & Updates: Character Guide, Races, Gender & Other Customization Options

As the closed beta for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 continues, players get a firsthand look at what they can look forward to in the final version of the game. Among the biggest questions that players are interested in are the characters that would be in the newest installment of the game. A quick preview of character customization options is now available to players who were not able to join the closed beta.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Characters

From the closed beta, players were able to know more updates about the newest installment of Dragon Ball Xenoverse. There are currently five race options in the game which include Earthling, Saiyan, Majin, Namekian, and Frieza Race. The developers decided to stick to just five to keep the game balanced although there are rumors that there will be at least two new races in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.

The gender option would also affect the health and the movement of the character. Males have better health and unless their stamina gets low, they don't take the brunt of the damage. Females, on the other hand, may have less health but they can dodge critical attacks since they take shorter breaks.

Then, there is character customization. As far as customizing a character is concerned, many players voiced out their complaints on the hairstyle options. Humans and Saiyans get more options for hairstyle but some players are not too happy with their options.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Players' Feedback

It has been an exciting week for Dragon Ball Xenoverse fans who preordered the game or those who won passcodes to the closed beta. Bandai Namco has been busy posting free codes on Twitter for players who wanted to give the game a try. Bandai Namco also issued a statement that all players who participated in the beta will receive a reward.

The closed beta may be ending on Oct. 10 but there's an open beta which would be available to all PS4 players from Oct. 14 to 17.
