Battleborn update is coming this Oct. 13. The announcement was made by Gearbox Software. The players who are reportedly waiting for the game mode may also be interested with the upcoming update.
Battleborn Face-Off Mode
The official Battleborn site has confirmed that the new Face-Off mode would come as a free update for the players. According to reports, this mode is a frenzied competitive collection game mode included in the upcoming update. The two teams are required to collect the Varelsi masks from neutral enemies and bring them back to the depository.
Battleborn Gameplay
Since the Battleborn players that bring the masks are expected to be more vulnerable, protection is recommended. The teams may also attack the enemies to rob their masks and restrict their progress. Moreover, the new game mode will be part of the new story DLC entitled Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion.
Battleborn's Steamcharts page, on the other hand, is reported to be in a bad situation these days, considering that the recently released Padadins from Hi-Rez Studios has a better standing compared to the Battleborn on PC. In fact, even the Battleborn fans Reddit are reportedly recommending the players to purchase the game on consoles to enjoy the game solo. The game has also Pve and PvP game modes that allows the audience to keep on playing without having to go competitive every time.
Battleborn Free Content
Battleborn new update is not going to provide any free-to play content, in spite of the speculations. According to previous reports, the game is seen to compete with other Hero Shooter rivals. But this was quickly dispelled by Gearbox Software.
Meanwhile, Battleborn's side story Attikus and the Thrall Rebellion is expected to narrate the story of the title character during his time with the revolution against the Jennerit Empire. The story is reportedly told by means of a film noir filter that can be played as single-player or co-op.
Battleborn players are also believed to be allowed to unlock the six titles, three taunts, two skins and the Faction Commander Packs. For those with the season pass, this side story comes along with the upcoming update. However, each of the new story operations will be available for $4.99.
