Listen up Tekken fans out there- sources are saying that Bandai Namco Entertainment may include Lei Wulong, Hong Kong super cop as part of Tekken 7. Now isn't that exciting?
Rumors say that Katsuhiro Harada, producer of the game, may have given clues that Wulong may be included in the downloadable content (DLC) of the hit fighting game. Wulong is said to be anticipated in the future playable roster of Tekken 7.
If you are a fan, you will remember Lei Wulong as a regular part of the series. His character has appeared first in Tekken 2.
There has been however minimum use of his character, therefore Wulong's character has not been part of the main roster upon Tekken's launching next year.
So far, you will find the following in the main roster: Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Lars Alexandersson, Alisa, Asuka, Lili, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Lee, Nina, Bryan Fury, Leo, Feng Wei, Yoshimitsu, Xiaoyu, Dragunov, Bob, and Devil Jin. Moreover, new faces will also be introduced such as Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino, Josie Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Jack-7, Gigas, Shaheen, Master Raven, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.
Miguel Caballero Rojo's return has further been confirmed by GearNuke.
Miguel made his first appearance in Tekken 6. His character tells about his goal of making a revenge against Mishima Zaibatsu and Jin Kazama.Miguel is further featured in a promotional trailer. In the scene, he is shown as beating up people violently.
Miguel's character is based in a backstory featured as, "After losing his sister in an airstrike ordered by the Mishima Zaibatsu, Miguel's life has since been consumed with exacting revenge upon the Mishima clan. His heavy-handed fighting style and unrelenting drive for vengeance are powerful weapons when wielded by the right player."
Harada further confirms that the title will not feature its support for a close-platform play between consoles and PC. The reason for this decision, according to the game producer, is to prevent cheats and hacks by players in order to win against their opponents.
Tekken 7 is expected to be released around February 2017. It is further expected to launch for Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.
