Following the confirmation from Toei Animation that "Dragon Ball Super" will be airing in a few more countries, speculations arise again stating its release in the U.S. is still possible. The latest reports said airing in the U.S. is set early 2017.
"Dragon Ball Super" has officially been announced by Toei Animation to hit European airwaves. The animation studio revealed on its website that the Japanese anime series will begin to set foot in France in between fall 2016 and winter 2017 on Toonami network. The same timeframe is also set for release in Spain on Boing channel, and in Italy on Italia 1 and Italia 2 networks.
"Dragon Ball Super" Crossing International Borders
Apart from these countries, the phenomenal "Dragon Ball Super" will also be crossing borders from Europe to South Africa where it will be shown on Cartoon Network. Previously, the "Dragon Ball" franchise had already been aired in Portugal and Israel.
"Dragon Ball Super" U.S. Release In The Works
Despite the massive popularity of "Dragon Ball Super" in the West, particularly in the U.S., there have been no reported negotiations between Toei Animation and American TV networks. However, given the massive popularity of "Dragon Ball" here, a closed-door negotiation must have been happening.
Of this possibility, a report from Forbes underscored the same notion. It stated: "The good news in all this is that if a European deal for 'Dragon Ball Super' is going ahead, then it's likely the U.S. side of things is still in negotiation."
"Dragon Ball Super" Availability On Online Streaming Sites
Considering the availability of the anime on the web (Dragon Ball Time, Watch DBS, JK Anime) free of charge dubbed in different languages, the U.S. fan base still clamor for "Dragon Ball Super" on the silver screen for an up-to-date streaming.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 65 is now available on online streaming sites.
