Honda just unveiled its concept about the type-R Civic during the Paris Auto Show 2016. Now, The Japanese car maker will launch the all new CR-V 2017. It is expected that the latest model will be another eye catcher to the car enthusiasts.
Turbo Power Included On CR-V 2017
Everyone is excited about Honda's turbocharged EX, EX-L. The Japanese car maker is very positive that it will attract 75 percent customers who will choose their CR-V 2017. It will help the users in fuel saving, according to a report on Car and Driver. Though the Japanese car maker just introduced type-R Civic on Paris, it is still unknown when the newest SUV will be out on the market.
Honda 2017 CR-V will be available in LX, EX and EX-L. The LX model has a 2.4-liter four cylinder engine that was previously seen on the 2015 model. The engine boasts of 184 horsepower and 180 pounds feet of torque, while the other models will be using 1.5-liter four turbocharged inline-four.
Per Autoblog, Honda wants extra space for its driver and passengers. Also, the Japanese automaker is focused on safety technology it can incorporate to its cars. About four million CR-V was sold globally last 1997.
"CR-V is extremely important to the Honda brand," said Alice Lee, Honda senior product planner. The model is one of the best sellers of Honda together with Civic and Accord.
Even if CR-V can only accommodate five passengers, the wheelbase of Honda's latest car is 1.6 inches longer and allows for a comfortable leg room that measures 40.4 inches, about 2.1 inches bigger than its predecessor and 1.9 inches wider than that of the Accord's.
Volume Knob On CR-V's High-Tech Infotainment System
According to Car and Driver, even if there is touch screen on its infotainment system, Honda will still include the volume knob for controlling the sounds on music. This will signifcantly minimize future issues that may arise from users trying to control the music on the screen.
Apple CarPlay and AutoWork will be part of the voice-activated feature and audio of Honda CR-V. The infotainment system will also display data about climate, remote start, USB charging ports and electric parking break.
