Nikki Reed Putting Off Family Plans With Husband Ian Somerhalder To Focus On Career
Actor Ian Somerhalder has been very vocal about his interest in starting a family. However, it looks like his wife, Nikki Reed has been putting their family plans on hold to focus on her career. Aside from the alleged rift between the couple because of ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev, putting off the baby plans have also been pointed as one of the causes of it.
There have been reports claiming that Nikki doesn't want to jeopardize her career by being pregnant when there are possible projects lined up for her. When she decided to finally start a family with her husband, she may need to put her career on hold to focus on being a mother. However, it looks like that isn't on her list of priorities right now.
Family Planning May Resume After Ian Somerhalder Done With "The Vampire Diaries"
The fans of the couple have been waiting for them to start a family by now. However, there have been reports claiming that Nikki is waiting for Ian to finish filming for "The Vampire Diaries" season eight. This has been allegedly due to the possibilities that Ian will be reuniting with ex-girlfriend Dobrev on the show. According to some reports, Nikki is waiting for Ian to cut down any of his connections with Dobrev before they start a family together.
When Dobrev was interviewed last year, she claimed that she and Ian are in good terms and that they have remained friends after the break-up. Since the couple has chosen not to address any divorce rumors being thrown at them, there is no way to know for sure what really is going on with the marriage. Nevertheless, they are still posting videos and photos together on Instagram showing that their relationship is indeed going stronger than assumed.
"The Vampire Diaries" is up for its final season and it will already premiere on October 21.
