'Sons Of Anarchy' Prequel Rumors: Charlie Hunnam Speaks About Possible Cameo On 'The First 9'

The finale of "Sons of Anarchy" was just like another "Prison Break" tragic ending since the protagonist Jax Teller chose to face his own bloody ending. However, now that a spinoff and a prequel were announced for the hit FX series, fans are wondering if Charlie Hunnam (Jax Teller) would come back at least for a cameo role in either "Sons of Anarchy: Mayans MC" or "Sons of Anarchy: The First 9."

The ending of "SoA" season 7 did not actually show a dead Teller. Yet it can be recalled that in the finale scene, he motorcycled himself to an accident when he released his handlebars and probably hit the truck from the other lane. Though the world did not actually see his body, the spilling blood concluded it all.

A number of speculations have it that the upcoming spinoff "Mayans MC" will not include Teller and would rather focus on the Mayans' leader Marcus Alvarez. Fans are then constantly asking for Teller to resurrect and at least take a cameo role in the prequel "The First 9."

Hunnam previously spoke about this possible cameo in the highly anticipated FX series. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actor said, "I'm really just making it up," referring to his character's return. "I don't know any fact," he added.

It can also be remembered that contradicting rumors have been coming out about Teller's role in the upcoming prequel, where one theory -- which was also confirmed by Hunnam -- said that he would not return for a part since the story will basically take place in a year before his character was even born.

However, the actor also said he was not sure yet but expressed his willingness to be a part of the project. "Listen I'm unemployed right now so if they want to give me a job that's all good with me," the "SoA" star explained. Another theory then came out that he might do a cameo role and would play a role before the prequel's main plotline is served.

The upcoming installments for the "Sons of Anarchy" franchise still have a lot to reveal as they are expected to air in 2017 ("Mayans MC") and mid-2018 ("The First 9").
