The first season of "Stranger Things" was met with massive success, making it one of Netflix's strongest original series in its lineup. While the show is on hiatus for its second season, its mysteries have been constantly talked about and speculated by fans. Now the latest theories say that Eleven is very much alive and will be seen with Chief Jim Hoppers in the much awaited "Stranger Things" season 2.
The confirmation of "Stranger Things" renewal for another season has sparked theories while previous interviews with the cast ignited spoilers for next season. A previous report stated that the addition of two new members, Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink, resulted in talks that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) will be replaced by the stars. However, a new theory was solidified that Eleven will reappear in season 2 under Hopper's (David Harbour) care.
Recounting the happenings from season 1, Eleven sacrificed herself in order to save everybody from the demogorgon. The character then was not seen anywhere in the following scenes of the season finale. It can be recalled that before the season ended, Hopper was seen bringing some Eggo waffles into the woods, and avid fans know too well the fact that it is Eleven's favorite food. It is then suspected that the protagonist is still alive and in hiding, and Hopper knows about it.
Meanwhile, past reports claim that it is likely that "Stranger Things" season 2 will feature Hopper's backstory and will tell how he lost his own daughter. Actor David Harbour described Chief Hopper in one of his interviews and said that the character carries so much guilt about his daughter's death. His yearning for his daughter and his bringing of waffles into the woods are now creating rumors that the officer is keeping Eleven safe in the woods and raising her like his own daughter.
Meanwhile, Noah Schnapp has been getting his own share of rumors when viewers started to criticize the sexuality of his character, Will. The child actor has recently taken to Instagram his answer to all the feedback on Will's identity. He pinned a comment specifically replying to a photo posted on Twitter talking about the character's sexual orientation.
Schnapp's post wrote, "For me, Will being gay or not is besides the point. Stranger Things is a show about a bunch of kids who are outsiders and find each other because they have been bullied in some way or are different. Does being sensitive, or a loner, or a teenager who likes photography, or a girl with red hair and big glasses, make you gay? I'm only 12 but I do know we all relate to being different. And that's why I think the Duffers wrote the show the way they did. So you can ask all these questions. I hope the real answer never comes out!"
"Stranger Things" season 2 is expected to come back in 2017, with the specific date yet to be announced.
