MacBook Pro 2016 Postpones 'iPad Mini 5' Release Date; Latest Updates On Specs, Price And More

Among other upcoming Apple Products that people are raving about, the iPad Mini 5 is arguably the most talked about device in the tech world nowadays. Experts and analysts believe that as of the moment, Apple is still focused on their upcoming MacBook Pro 2016, which is expected to be launched this coming October 27. This is one of the reasons why many believe that the MacBook Pro 2016 the main reason why the iPad Mini 5 is yet to be released.

Release Date

Despite rumors claiming that the MacBook Pro 2016 is delaying the much awaited iPad Mini 5 release, Apple fans are still hopeful for the much-awaited release date of the iPad Mini 5 and the iPad Pro 2. But recent reports had a lot of tech enthusiasts' hope high, as a lot have claimed that the tech giant might be launching the two devices in early 2017.

Specifications

Spec-wise, the upcoming iPad Mini 5 is said to incorporate a 7.9-inch Retina display, much like the previous model. The outer look of the device is said to feature a 7k series aluminum covering, which will enhance the new tablet's overall durability. Along with that, the upcoming iPad Mini 5 is rumored to be a lot slimmer (approximately 1 mm. thinner compared to its predecessors) and elegant-looking. The iPad Mini 5 is believed to be featuring the new Live photos.

Processor and performance

Processor-wise, the upcoming iPad Mini 5 incorporates an A10 processor chipset, which features 2 gigabytes of RAM and 16 gigabytes of memory. Other memory options available are of 64 and 128-gigabyte variants.

Other things to expect

Since the iOS 11 is also expected to roll out by 2017, the iPad Mini 5 could also be featuring the said operating system. The device, like what Apple has started to trend with all its upcoming devices, is also going to be without the 3.5 mm audio jack. As for size variants, the iPad Mini 5 will have three: a 9.7, 10.1, and 12.9-inch models.
