"Quantico" star Johanna Braddy reveals the latest spoiler for season 2, teasing her character Shelby to have found a new love interest that viewers might have already known in the past. Meanwhile, show producer Josh Safran also revealed that a major character will die very soon.
Shelby Has Found A New Love Interest
Actress Johanna Braddy, who played Shelby, disclosed at the recent Paleyfest event that her character will be able to find a new love interest in the upcoming episodes of "Quantico" season 2. While on the verge of looking after Alex (Priyanka Chopra), Braddy shared that this new love interest is distinct from what she had with Caleb in the past (Graham Rogers).
How much distinct is distinct though? In a recent interview with IB Times, Braddy said, "it's not so youthful." This is not much of a surprise though for many fans. It can be noted that in 2015, Shelby also was smitten by Caleb's father Clayton (Mark Pellegrino). While Braddy has been tight-lipped about the details, she teased that the guy could be someone viewers already met in the past.
Braddy further said that this chapter of Shelby's life will make her a changed woman. After her stealthy affair with Clayton that wrecked Shelby, Braddy shared that her character this time is bound to "come back like fierce and thick-skinned."
A Major Character Will Die
In another news, "Quantico" producer Josh Safran recently unveiled the storyline behind the terrorist plot happening on the show. Safran said that a major character will have to die during the attack. Safran admitted that they were scared off at first by the thought of losing a major character on the show as his team might have "had gone too far." Fortunately, he added, they were able to pull it off. The question now remains: Who is the major character to die?
As Safran repeatedly cited Alex to be more aggressive in her bout against the terrorists, it could not be far from the possibility of the character to be killed off. Previously, Chopra had also been rumored to be difficult to work with on the set.
"Quantico" season 2 airs every Sunday at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
