Skyrim Remastered Update: Bethesda To Increase Xbox One Mod Limits, Microsoft Remains Mum

Skyrim Remastered is only a few days from its official release, thus fans are trying to know whatever there's to know about the game. Fortunately, Bethesda has released more information about the current status quo of mods in Xbox One. That it's trying to meet ends with Microsoft, so as to achieve a goal -- that is to increase the mod limits on the console.

According to Express, the mod limits that will be applied to Skyrim Remastered in Xbox One will be the same with the console's versions of Fallout 4. This means that these will most likely end up with a size of only 2GB. Obviously, this doesn't sit well to most fans, especially to those who plan to mod.

The good news for Skyrim Remastered fans is that Bethesda plans to increase the aforementioned limit. That, as much as possible, modding shouldn't be restricted to such size. While it holds true that the studio has already reached out to Microsoft, the tech giant has yet to confirm or agree.

Bethesda's very own Pete Hines iterated that they want the Skyrim Remastered mods to increase. However, the only catch, they can't promise if it'll happen. Or perhaps, if it becomes a reality, they can't give out any specifics. For now, all of these remain a mystery.

As previously reported here at iTech Post, Skyrim Remastered has already gone gold. This means that the manufacturing phase has already started, confirming that the game won't be delayed or something. Hence it's safe to say that fans can expect the game to hit the shelves come October 28.

Moreover, the video game company has revealed that Skyrim Remastered will offer a brand new Creation Kit. What's interesting about it? The devs created this feature specifically for the upcoming remastered version of the fifth installment in the franchise.

Skyrim Remastered is expected to arrive with all the DLCs from the original title. Yes, this includes even the ones released thereafter. So, that means fans can expect the likes of Dawnguard expansion, the so-called Hearthfire home enhancements content and the Dragonborn add-on.
