FIFA 17 Update: CPU AI Increased For Direct Attacks

FIFA 17 patch notes have reportedly rolled out evidently revealing an increased AI tendency of the CPU to attack directly. The patch addressed frame-rate issues during pre-match skill game and other visual issues. Furthermore, changes have been made to the various Modes in-game.

The FIFA 17 patch is believed to feature improvements to the contested headers logic from the corner kicks. Moreover, the general responsiveness of shooting has also been improved. FIFA 17 players reportedly noticed an input delay when it comes to shooting pre-patch.

In terms of Pro Clubs, the patch will require increased experience for the higher overall ratings. In the Career Mode, the CPU AI would no longer leave star players on the bench. In the Ultimate Team, the patch corrected shooting and crossing text in custom tactics. However, the FIFA 17 patch notes have not mentioned details about the frequency of injuries in the FIFA Ultimate Team and the Career Mode.

Visually, FIFA 17 will have new components of the 2016/2017 Premier League broadcast package as well as general overlay fixes. The patch also addressed the issue where players overrun the ball after a skill move. Improvements were also made to player switching from corners and free kicks, among others. Additionally, errors like detached fog from the player's breath and a rare situation of the penalty shootout ending earlier have also been fixed.

Meanwhile, FIFA 17 patch reportedly increased the likelihood of making errors on a triple-tap ground gross. In addition, the patch will also improve the overall gameplay of FIFA 17. The general responsiveness of shooting was improved and the part where cancel was unresponsive after requesting a clearance has also been fixed. Interestingly, the cutscene for contentious fouls may now be skipped.

The FIFA 17 patch also did changes to the Pro Clubs that resulted in a lower OVR post-patch. This is said to be intentional and would not alter the game's progress. The patch also updated banners, team kits and flags for Velez Sarsfield and Tigre. Finally, the patch will be launched this week for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
