McDonald's is well-known for trying out various changes to their food selections in worldwide locations so there isn't much startle that the fast-food giant is introducing Halloween Witch Fries to their carte.
Themed-menu item will feature the store's famous French fries drizzled with chocolate and purple sweet potato flavors offering a mix of sweet and savory sauces.
This is not the first-time McDonald's has affixed a Halloween themed to their menu. Back in September, the fast-food chain added pumpkin-flavored french fries to their Japan menus. The fries which come with "pumpkin and choco sauce" will be available until Oct. 31, 2016.
At an early year, McDonald's also added the "McChoco Potato" to their food list; which started the flavored fries' trends at the Japanese restaurant. During its brief stint and with menu success, the fries were served coated in cacao and white milk chocolate seasonings.
Back in 2014, the Japan stations momentarily added a squid ink burger and Pumpkin Oreo McFlurry to their list. The burger contained two beef patties crested with cheddar cheese, crispy fried onions, orange chipotle sauce, and black sesame seed bread buns. The McFlurry seasoned its typical ingredients of soft serve vanilla ice cream and Oreo cookies but pumpkin sauce was added to the dessert twisting its color to slightly orange.
In other countries such as Australia, McDonald's has coated fries with guacamole, cheese, and bacon. The Singapore restaurants also briefly introduced truffle fries to their menus however, some customers moaned that the dish was "too salty."
Now the Golden Arches in Japan is taking part of things even further this fall, creating a once-in-a-lifetime fry order that's Halloween-themed-menu. The new "witch" fries are drizzled in purple sweet potato and chocolate sauces and will be available at locations throughout the country starting October 19, 2016 and all throughout the end of the month, Brand Eating reports.
